Mitsubishi Electric today announced the launch of its new home theatre projector model, the HC4000.
The HC4000 is the successor to the HC3800, Mitsubishi Electric’s previous entry-level 1080P home theatre projector model. The HC4000 provides improved contrast levels thanks to the adoption of the DarkChip DLP™ chip, allowing Mitsubishi Electric to deliver on its promise of providing high quality, high-performance and affordable home theatre projectors.
The new DarkChip3 Digital Light Processing (DLP™) chip from Texas Instruments, takes the HC4000’s contrast ratio to 3600:1, enabling superior black, white and colour reproduction in images. The HC4000 is equipped with a six-segment colour wheel as well as BrilliantColor™ technology to further enhance colour accuracy from Blu-Ray and other high-definition sources. The HC4000 also boasts a colour management function, where each individual colour (R,G,B,C,M,Y) can be adjusted to the user’s personal preference.
“At Mitsubishi Electric, we are constantly looking to refine the quality of our products,” said Stuart Baker, Senior Manager of Mitsubishi Electric Australia Visual Information Systems Group. “With the HC4000, we have been able to offer the user even better large-screen picture performance at the same price as its predecessor.”
The projector also features a full 10-bit panel driver, to provide users with approximately four times the gradation of its 8-bit counterparts. This delivers smoother black reproduction with subtler tones. The 1.5x short throw zoom lens incorporates a 13-piece, 4-cluster all-glass lens which enables sharp and focused big-screen images.
The HC4000’s optimised high output lamp is capable of running up to 5000 hours, providing months of Full HD entertainment. An efficient cooling system and low-noise fan gives the projector an impressive 25dBA running volume. Other features include vertical keystone correction, a projector screen trigger and anamorphic lens compatibility.
Availability and Pricing
The HC4000 is available from your nearest home theatre specialist. For further details please visit www.MitsubishiElectric.com.au or email mea_vis@meaust.meap.com. The HC4000 is priced at AUD$3299.
